We are new to this lake, but have been told the fishing is great for bass, walleye, northern pike and pan fish. Surrounding the dock is a sandy lake bottom with crystal clear water. There are beach towels and 2 kayaks for your use during your vacation as well. Your vacation home is on a private road with immediate neighbors only on the north side of the home. The lake is to the east and the area to the west and south is wooded with no neighbors nearby. Relaxation, peace and quiet here you come! My cottage is 750 square foot, very clean and is approximately 700 yards from a secluded private beach located on Lake Huron within Hammond Bay where you will find clean sandy beach and clear water. The cottage has three bedroom plus futon (sleeps eight). Bedroonms 1 and 2 have queen beds and bedroom 3 has 2 twin beds. Clean linens provided for all beds. There is one bathroom with a shower but no tub and you will need to bring your own bath and beach towels. In the living room there is a fireplace, a futon, a loveseat, 2 rocking chairs, and a TV (no cable, but does have internet for streaming . In the kitchen there is an expandable dinner table that will seat up to 6 people. Extra chairs can be found stored in the 3rd bedroom. The stove is electric and there is a large refrigerator, a complete set of dishes and utensils, pots and pans for your culinary needs. There is not a toaster but a toaster oven instead. Outside there is a large screened in front porch, great for being able to sit outside at all times of the day and never have to worry about the weather conditions or bugs. From the porch there is a walkway that leads to a nice size deck with a picnic table, and a fire pit right off the backside of the deck. Beautiful, cedar-sided chalet-style cottage with 100 feet of direct Mullett Lake frontage and full lake access. Your summer rental includes the use of an oversized dock and a hoist for up to a 20-foot power boat. Hoist and dock are available from late spring until and early fall, from about May 15th through October 1st. There is a public boat launch 1/4 mile away, and our driveway will accommodate a boat trailer. Or, boats are available for rent from several marinas on the lake. Our cottage has a large deck with a stainless-steel grill and comfy, padded deck furniture. There is also a large lawn on the lake side of the house with lawn chairs and chaise lounges. Inside, the main floor contains a great room with a natural fireplace, television, and comfortable seating; a fully-equipped kitchen; and a dining area overlooking the lake. The main floor also contains a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, jacuzzi tub and flat-screen TV; the main bathroom with a shower; a laundry room with a washer and dryer; and a half bath. Satellite service is available on both TV's. The second level consists of a large loft-style bedroom with a queen-sized bed, two futons, a sitting area, and a desk area. A third bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, dresser, and walk-in closet, is located on the lower level. We are situated on a secluded, calm bay on the east side of Mullett Lake. There are only 4 houses located on our street and the property is surrounded by woods. The lake remains shallow for quite a distance in front of our house, and is great for swimming. Water-ski, tube, kayak or canoe right in front of the house. Boat throughout the Inland Waterway, and check out restaurants and bars in Indian River and Cheboygan, not to mention the large sandbar at the mouth of the Cheboygan River! In the Fall, the lake is beautiful with Autumn colors and cool temperatures. Winter fun continues with snowshoeing and snowmobiling right on the lake. Fall and Winter can also bring opportunities for viewing the Northern Lights right over the lake, or check out the nearby Headlands Dark Sky Park. Ski resorts, sledding hills, and cross country trails are a short drive away. Working remotely? We have great internet coverage and ATT provides good cell service as well. Close to Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Nubs Nob, Boyne Highlands, and Black Lake Recreation Area. Snowmobile trails are also close by. Pets and kids are always welcome in our cottage!

Boat through the Cheboygan river and be at the island in 90 minutes, from our dock. The Cheboygan locks are fun for the kids. Don't forget to bring your squirt guns or water balloons for the river trip. Everyone has fun on the river. Cheboygan is located 15 mins north and has all your conveniences, ie Walmart, hospital, 5 screen movie theater, and many restaurants, sit down or fast. Located 12 mins south of the property is Indian River. This quaint tourist town,located between Burt and Mullet Lakes, is a wonderful place to stroll. Visit the small shops, local eateries, have an ice cream and play mini golf. Great town to relax and enjoy yourself. Outdoors Lover?: Mackinaw State Forest is located 2 miles away. Enjoy the Forest for it's ORV, hiking and biking trails. Wildlife hunting available too. Mullet Lake is the second largest inland lake in Michigan. The property is located in a northern facing bay which is perfect for fishing. Ocqueoc Falls, located 30 mins away, is the only recognized waterfall in Michigan's lower peninsula. Our cottage has 100 feet of lakefront and is situated on a flat one acre parcel at the north end of Mullett Lake. The large home is great for a family get together or share it with another family. The cottage will comfortably accommodate 14 people. Large eat in kitchen with a dishwasher and 2 refrigerators. The recreation room upstairs has a ping-pong table, foosball, TV,wireless internet and a balcony that overlooks the lake. The lawn on the lakeside extends right down to the sugar sand beach. The house has a big lake view and easy access to the water. Barbeque and eat outdoors at the picnic table, enjoy water sports or a game of horseshoes and relax. Paddle around in the canoe, float on inner tubes or catch minnows from the dock. There are two buoys for your boats. Enjoy the sunset then watch the stars and the moon while you sit around the fire pit. Beautiful country setting with lakefront living at its best. The old railroad bike trail is nearby or take your boat to Hack-Ma-Tack, Big Boy or The Boat House Restaurant for a special outing. Bring your clubs, golf is great. The front beach house is 2100sq ft. spread out over two upper levels and a walkout basement. The main level has a full bathroom, 1 bedroom with queen size log bed, fireplace and living room, well equipped kitchen and eating area, and an enclosed sunporch overlooking Lake Huron and the beach. The second level contains the master bedroom with queen size log bed, private small deck overlooking the woods, master bathroom with an entrance from the bedroom and a second entrance from the hallway, and a bonus room with a twin over full log bunk bed. The finished walkout basement faces the beach and contains a fireplace, pool table, small bar with 4 swivel bar chairs. The basement has extra seating in front of the large TV with a Direct TV Package (no need to miss that game) for your viewing pleasure or video games if you so choose. The beach house also has internet Wi-Fi and a phone for local calls. Plenty of board games for family time with the kids or to just relive your youth The second house is a short walk (just over 100feet) from the beach house. We call it the chalet and it is a 1000sq ft two story home. On the main level, you have a large bedroom with a queen size log bed, a full bathroom, open kitchen, eating area, living room, along with a slider door to the deck that faces the lake with comfortable seating to relax in. The second level consists of an open loft, master bedroom with a queen-sized log bed and an attached 3/4 bathroom. Happily, we find we rarely leave the beach but if you do find yourself in an adventurous mood you may like to know that Mackinaw, Cheboygan, Rogers City, Indian River, Petoskey, Harbor Springs and many more points of interest are just a short drive away. Many of them have several festivals throughout the year that you may find intriguing and interesting. We provide many essentials and extras that will make your trip more enjoyable. Such as plenty of chairs for the beach, large cooler to store food and drinks while down on the beach or by the fire. Coffee makers with carafes to bring a pot of coffee outside to enjoy the sunrise or sunset with. TVs to enjoy a movie on as well as plenty of board games and decks of cards to entertain with. Beach games such as bocce ball and corn hole boards. Remember that there are outdoor gas grills at both homes for your convenience. We offer plenty of firewood for your evenings on the beach. We have installed an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off before entering the home. We have a Bluetooth receiver and speakers set up for your enjoyment. You will be able to listen to the music while on the beach. A large teak outdoor dining table with umbrella so you can relax while on the beach with your family and friends. Please be sure to bring beach towels, toiletries, extra paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry soap, dish soap and hand soap as limited quantities are supplied. Kitchen is well stocked with gadgets, pans etc. Note that we have new heating and air in both homes as well as Direct TV. Texas Tom's Cabin is located on a private drive on beautiful Lake Huron just 12 miles North of the quaint town of Rogers City and 50 miles South of the Mighty Mac! This CLEAN cabin has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, laundry room/office, a loft with 2 twin size beds! Head up the spiral staircase to master bedroom, private 1/2 bath and the best view of the house! Enjoy the beautiful private sandy beach of about 100 ft, fire pit, seperate beach side screened in sitting area (beach hut) with bench swing, mini fridge, and twin size bed for afternoon nap! Or sit on the deck and grill some steaks while enjoying the view. All linens,dishes, coffee pots, provided plus complimentary basic toiletries. Truly the most relaxing experience one might find in the area! Sleeps 8 comfortably! Seating is limited to about 4 at a time in living and dining due to layout of the cottage. Disclosure: Texas Tom's is located in Northern Michigan, on the water, but also the private road has wooded areas surrounding it. Although we spray the surrounding area of the house as an attempt we simply cannot eliminate the Northern Michigan insects.

***COVID Update*** There are many factors to our place that we believe reduces concerns during COVID. We always leave 1 week between renters. Our house is quite isolated and the beach typically sees no people for days at a time. Unless you venture out on your own, it is very possible you will not come in contact with anyone. Come enjoy our lovely lake/beachfront home located on the beautiful and clear Lake Huron. Located just steps from 129 feet of spectacular sandy beach. Enjoy the shallow entrance with sandy bottom (although there are rocky portions so water shoes would be recommended). ***2020 - Lake is higher than normal which makes the water deeper a bit quicker but there is still plenty of nice sandy beach (see new picture)**** . House is on a very private road. This is a nature lover's paradise with breathtaking lake views from both the full glass-front and huge wrap-around deck. Savor glorious sunrises from the deck, or inside the house, with your morning coffee. Relax to the sound of waves throughout the day and if you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of our local bald eagles. Our comfortable 1300+ square foot, 2 story home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, laundry room, WIFI and views of the lake from the kitchen, dining room, living room and loft/sitting area. Plenty of entertainment for family and friends both indoors (TVs, DVD players, Wii, PS3, board games, books) and outdoors (2 kayaks, paddle boat, sand toys, beach chairs, water noodles, etc). Create culinary masterpieces (or grilled cheese) in our well-appointed kitchen with new appliances (April 2016) or on the outdoor gas grill. Because our home has not been childproofed in any way, parents/guardians must be completely responsible for the safety of their children.
